Had our first CAB meeting. Wow - insanely valuable. Incredible group of customers. Now I get why y'all worry about CABs so much, haha

that's so exciting!

We just had our last CAB meeting this morning. We're going to turn the lights off on ours. So, that's a bittersweet win for me.

What made your team pull the plug?

The short answer is weak executive sponsorship. The longer answer is that we really aren't in a place right now where we can offer customers the value that a CAB demands. This was one of the key initiatives that executives wanted when we started our advocacy program, but when it came time to recruit, plan meetings, and action on feedback, we couldn't get the support we needed from the teams that needed to be involved. It became a very high-energy project with only marginal benefits.

Congrats ! πŸŽ‰
I've heard of stories like this before. Some people have great ideas and then when it comes down to execution, some members of the team or executives don't make the time for it. It's not for everyone, but can be super beneficial for those organizations that can execute and leverage it well.

Makes me glad we haven't started one up yet! There's an interest, but we have so much going on that I feel like it would take a back seat.

i would love to hear more about the value of a CAB if someone can share! I am proposing it for one of our products and want to be able to specify the benefits to my leadership πŸ™‚ sorry if that's a noobie question
