Attended Customer Marketing Alliance Conferences: Worthwhile or Not?

Hi! Has anyone here attended the customer marketing alliance conferences / did you find them worthwhile? I’m debating whether to make a case to attend :)

I think it varies. There was one a few weeks ago and I heard it was bare bones. Robert went this week and he seemed to enjoy it. Are you going to CustomerX Con? I’d make that the priority.

I have been to the ones in NYC (2022) and SF (2023) I enjoyed them. Good speakers and opportunity to network.

I’m planning to go to CustomerX Con in Boston this fall.

Thank you!! I was thinking CMA bc it’s local to me and easier to justify bc it doesn’t require travel but also don’t want to pay for a lackluster experience when a few extra dollars would make a big difference :)

just went last week and had a good time

I’ve been to the Vegas ones - the first one was small but they did get better

Like , I've been to the one in NYC and the Bay Area one last year and enjoyed them both. I thought the one in the Bay Area was done better than the one in NYC as it was over 2 days (though they could have scheduled things a little bit better on day 2 as it was on a friday). The content they put together is definitely worthwhile for folks any place along their CMA journey. But depending on where you are in that journey or what you're current priorities are, the agendas can be either more or less effective for you.

I’ve found value from all the summits I’ve attended over the last two years - CMA, CMX, CustomerX, and others. What I think drives the most value are discussion tables, workshops, happy hours, vendor dinners. I would say that the CMA summit in Boston last week had the best presentations so far. I’m trying to incorporate more content creation in my role, I plan to go to FinCon this year and VidCon & TravelCon next year. I’ve also enjoyed Podfest and TC Disrupt.
