I'm asked regularly to help people find a mentor. I've tried to turn this into a program but the time investment just isn't realistic for making decent matches.
However, I can still help. Starting this month I'm posting the Mentorship thread; you can post here if you want a mentor, or post to say you are willing to be a mentor.
I will share this in the newsletter, on LinkedIn, during the weekly call, and other methods.
I want a mentor! I've always been based out of India working with customers based around the world. Along with mentoring/advice on how I can position myself better to customers, I also would love any suggestions on how I can build relationships internally.
Hi! I’m new to the Customer Marketing space- recently transitioned (about 8 months ago) from Customer Success to lead our customer evidence program. I’m currently the only one collecting and creating assets around customer stories for both of our business units. I’m also taking on more responsibility around our customer community. I have lots of ideas, but sometimes have trouble deciding where to prioritize and would love a mentor to bounce ideas off of while also looking for some guidance on what worked well for you! Not sure I have the capacity to commit to ongoing mentorship, but have the ability and willingness to meet 1:1 with folks who are stuck.

Hello all - I would like a mentor!
Going through a career transition in the near future and starting to look for new roles after feeling burnt out doing all Customer Marketing things at a start up.
Would love mentorship on my resume, how to promote myself as leader and perhaps interview prep. This burnout has also caused significant social anxiety and Im wanting to get back to being an authentic person in the workplace - so bare with my awkwardness 🫣

Hi. I'd love a Mentor to help with running a CAB. I've worked a lot with customers on customer stories, but working with a CAB is new to me, and I want to be sure that they are benefiting from it, not just us 🙂 .
I'm happy to be a mentor. I have 7 years of experience in customer marketing/advocacy and I've done about everything--ABM, lifecycle, all the advocacy programs, sales enablement, etc. Some of the things I'm good at are design-centered thinking and strategy (basically, how do you identify the problems you need to solve so you can come up with a better solution the first time), tying advocacy programs to revenue, and getting executive buy-in for your programs.
