Hi - I'm doing a deep dive on reviews sites. Does anyone focus on Capterra? We spend no time there, but are getting a decent influx of positive reviews - we've had 4 in April.
Wondering if others focus on that site - the other sites we don't focus on tend to have negative reviews as people are complaining - so wondering why this one has so many positive reviews. Thank you.
I’d say Capterra is a distant second to G2 and GPI, but it’s gaining traction. If it’s not a big lift, it’s probably worth adding to your review program plan.
Capterra is by very far the leading platform in "old school" software categories and outside of the US.
If you're in a red ocean type category and addressing SMBs it's probably the one you should focus on. If not, it definitely doesn't have the hype that G2 & GPI have.
I wrote a short post detailing the gartner review sites, how they work, and how to make the most of it. It might be helpful.
we support pretty much all the various review sites from the typical G2/TR/GPI to Capterra, Trustpilot etc. bc we have a large SMB, COMM footprint
If your review strategy is taken up by other review sites, I would check to see if your competitors are putting any effort into Capterra. Depending on what you find and how your current results compare to their, it may be worth incorporating it.
