Rewarding and incentivizing customer advocates for a reference program

Hey all! Starting to kick the tires on how we'll reward/incentivize the advocates who participate in our customer reference program, which we'll be rolling early next year (I'm onboarding Champion as the SaaS solution). Most of the customers in the program will be execs (director+), so I'm thinking for that audience (e.g. exclusive opportunities to network, cool experiences, etc, not swag or anything commoditized). What have you guys seen/done?

I think a highly curated networking opportunity would be appreciated.

In my experience, it could involve:

  • making sure other top execs will be attending and sharing that with the group
  • it's planned far ahead into the future they can make sure to block off the time/date
  • learning about their goals/obstacles/needs before hand
  • ensuring they know these topics will be addressed (to make sure there is value for everyone attending)
  • participants willing to start sharing or be called upon on the call (or in real life)
  • curated introductions or breakout rooms if virtual
  • short comms campaign to keep them interested before the event

a few ideas, some better than others πŸ˜€

  • get a free ticket to any industry conference of your choice, fully covered by us.
  • be a guest on our company podcast to share your story and insights.
  • get featured in a LinkedIn post from our company,
  • join a private dinner with other executives at a top restaurant in your city.
  • receive a $1,000 donation made to a cause you care about, in your name.
  • attend an invite-only retreat with other top executives, hosted at a secret location in Colorado
  • be the face of a custom case study shared on our website and marketing channels.
  • get a box of leadership books
  • be invited to judge a pitch competition hosted by our company
  • get an invite to join a VIP iMessage group chat channel with other executive customers
  • speaking opportunities at our events.
  • get a free subscription to a top industry publication or newsletter
  • co-host a webinar with our team
  • framed recognition certificate or award to display in your office.
