First-time conference attendee tips and recommendations

Hi everyone - I'm creating a webinar/video to help first timers get the most out of our customer conference. I'm looking for your top tips and recommendations like: download the app, learn to use the app, what to bring, etc. What do you wish you (or your customers) knew before attending a conference?

Some ideas:

  1. logistics - where and when and how to get there
  2. agenda - are there breakouts? plan what sessions to attend
  3. testimonials - will you be recording? do you want sign ups ahead of time?
  4. product help - will you have people available to sit down for 1:1 meetings?
  5. networking - what do you want attendees to do to increase networking - are you letting them connect via the app?
  6. hashtag - do you want them posting about attending and use a hashtag

Lots of peeps like to know what to wear - how formal/informal are all the various events, etc. Or if you have a theme for a party, give them some ideas of how they can dress for it.

For me, I want to know all of the extracurriculars that are happening, so a list of the activities like XYZ company is having a meetup or someone is hosting a dinner.

Great list of ideas above! A couple other frequently asked questions at our customer conference include lunch/food options, if there is / how to book meeting rooms for meetings, any industry meetups planned, where registration is happening.
